In three languages: Anthony Loke has to be responsible for his failure to reform KTMB

  There is a price to pay for being indifferent Following a victory against KTMB at the Consumers' Tribunal on July 22, 2026, I now  call on Transport Minister Anthony Loke Siew Fook to address persistent flaws in KTMB's e-ticketing platform.  If he had intervened, the case would not have gone to the Tribunal. So much time is wasted just because of his indifference towards complaints sent to his personal attention.  While digitalisation should streamline public transport, system glitches and poor customer support currently result in unnecessary financial losses and frustration for passengers—especially senior citizens.  Till now, KTMB has not refunded my money. But thankfully the Tribunal refused to accept their explanation that they needed 6 months to effect a refund of only RM148, which they claimed to have refunded, but using KTMB’s point system.   I finally felt vindicated when the Tribunal awarded me RM148 for my ETS ticket refund this morning. It was never about the amount of money, but about the principle of justice I was standing up for. While the inconvenience I experienced was bearable, it was nevertheless frustrating after several attempts to obtain a refund from KTMB were met with silence and yielded no satisfactory resolution. It  is sometimes much better to bring the matter to the tribunal than to deal with unreasonable personnel within the organization. What shocked me most was KTMB's revelation during the tribunal proceedings that the refund had supposedly been issued as  points , something I was completely unaware of. Put in layman's terms, you paid for entrance into Kidzania. For some reasons, you managed to cancel the tickets, but the refund is in the form of Kidzania dollars.
