By the way, it has always been like this, but opposition politics probably make things more difficult for the rakyat

Can you spot RFID logo here? Corporate culture today no longer operates as it once did. When complaints are raised in the press, companies often do not even respond with clarifications. This raises a serious question as to whether Litrak is truly accountable to anyone. What's worse is when all sorts of negative feedback is received from people who tell how the organisation has gone from bad to worse, after Litrak was sold off by Gamuda Berhad to Amanat Lebuhraya Berhad (ALB). It operates Lebuhraya Damansara Puchong (LDP), which I encountered an issue with the RFID lane at Sri Damansara toll plaza.  I believe many of my readers also encounter the same problem with the RFID lane. For most people, there is only ONE lane with RFID and it is often plaque with issues of cars which had to be reversed.  What is supposed to be meant for seamless travel now suddenly becomes an issue that has been highlighted in the press once, let alone not even a single reply was received from L...

Time for DAP to do some soul-searching

Image
I  feel that I have to speak up after my bad experience with a senior politician from the DAP, a party that I have trusted and voted for for the past 40 years.  This was mainly because of one DAP leader Dr Tan Seng Giaw whom I respect a lot for helping residents of Kepong, although he did not get much coverage from the media. Instead, his opponent from MCA Yee Poh Ping would, with the help of some officers from DBKL, always stole the limelight even though it was Dr Tan who managed to solve the problem for the residents.  For example, when I highlighted about the poor condition of the playground in Jinjang, and DBKL refurbished it, instead of giving Dr Tan the credit (my job was only to highlight, but he had already spoken to the Mayor much earlier to have the budget allocated for), but the newspaper highlighted Yee's appearance along with DBKL officers claiming all the credit. That's why I never liked MCA.  Instead, I used to contact Dr Tan for the latest news so th...

MEMORANDUM CADANGAN: INISIATIF STRATEGIK KEPOLISAN SETEMPAT DAN PENJIMATAN KOS OPERASI PDRM

This is intended to be a memorandum than a blog. Maybe boring. If you want to read the blog it is here .  1 .

DAP needs reforms, too

Image
I am writing with tongue-in-cheek to prompt the DAP leadership to do some serious re-thinking about their decision whether to remain or stay out of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim's cabinet.  Giving the prime minister to deliver reforms within six months was a convenient way to pass on the blame to the prime minister after the defeat of the DAP in Sabah.  Anthony Loke would likely have already been part of the DAP during the period when the party, led by its two stalwarts Lim Kit Siang and Karpal Singh, suffered a major setback in the Tenth General Election in 1999. That election marked one of the most humiliating defeats in DAP’s history, as both leaders—long regarded as politically invincible—were unseated in the constituencies they contested: Karpal Singh as Chairman and Lim Kit Siang as DAP Secretary-General. DAP has a history of withdrawing from the coalition Barisan Alternatif that they joined. In the context of marriage, DAP has to learn that a marriage vow includes "For ...

History Seems to Repeat Itself with Different Actors

Ruslin Hassan, 7th mayor of Kuala Lumpur, currently a politician with Bersatu. On the right is Nga Kor Ming, Minister of Housing & Local Government MANY YEARS  ago, I recall former Kuala Lumpur mayor Ruslin Hassan allocating RM1 million to build a public toilet in Bandar Menjalara.            To this day, I haven’t visited the facility, but I have heard it is in poor condition. Unfortunately, such facilities are often not maintained adequately, as many Malaysians fail to care for the public amenities provided to them.           Vandalism remains a significant issue, one that the current Minister of Housing and Local Government, Nga Kor Ming, is undoubtedly aware of.            Spending RM1 million on a so-called “millionaire’s toilet” stands as a glaring example of how public funds can be misused at the whims of politicians.           From my perspec...
